PromptFox — Privacy Policy

PromptFox collects no data. None.

• All prompts, collections, variables, images, and settings are stored only on your device.
• The app contains no network code: no server, no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no third-party SDKs.
• AI features (Prompt Doctor rewrites, variable value suggestions, Variablize, and title & collection suggestions) run entirely on-device via Apple Intelligence. Your prompts are never sent to us or to anyone else by the app.
• Exports are files you create and share deliberately; they never leave the device on their own and contain no hidden identifiers.
• Since the app sends us nothing, there is nothing for us to disclose, sell, or lose. Deleting the app deletes everything.

PromptFox includes an optional custom keyboard for pasting your saved prompts anywhere. Its privacy rules are strict:

• The keyboard never logs what you type and never transmits anything — like the app, it contains no network code at all.
• Browsing and inserting your prompts works without “Allow Full Access”.
• “Allow Full Access” is only needed for one optional feature: the keyboard’s Add button, which hands text you selected back to the PromptFox app. This handoff happens purely in shared local storage on your device (an iOS App Group). With Full Access on or off, nothing ever leaves your device.

If a future version ever changes any of this (for example optional iCloud sync, which would place your data in your iCloud account), this page and the App Store listing will say so clearly before the feature ships.

These pages are static: no cookies, no scripts, nothing loaded from third parties. They are hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA). Like any web host, GitHub records technical connection data such as your IP address in its server logs for security purposes — see GitHub’s privacy statement. We have no access to those logs and keep none of our own.

PromptFox erhebt keinerlei Daten.

Alle Prompts, Sammlungen, Variablen, Bilder und Einstellungen bleiben ausschließlich auf Ihrem Gerät. Die App enthält keinen Netzwerkcode: kein Server, keine Konten, keine Analyse, kein Tracking, keine Werbung. KI-Funktionen laufen vollständig auf dem Gerät (Apple Intelligence). Die optionale Tastatur („PromptFox“) protokolliert niemals Eingaben und überträgt nichts; „Vollzugriff erlauben“ wird nur für die optionale „Add“-Funktion benötigt, die ausschließlich den von Ihnen markierten Text an die PromptFox-App übergibt, und arbeitet dabei nur mit lokalem, geteiltem Speicher auf Ihrem Gerät (App Group). Mit dem Löschen der App sind sämtliche Daten entfernt.

Ihnen stehen die Rechte nach Art. 15–21 DSGVO sowie das Beschwerderecht bei der Datenschutzbehörde (dsb.gv.at) zu. Diese Seiten werden auf GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA) gehostet; GitHub protokolliert dabei technische Verbindungsdaten wie Ihre IP-Adresse — wir selbst speichern nichts.

The only personal data we ever handle is what you send us yourself when you write to that address: your e-mail address and the content of your message. We use it solely to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR), keep it only as long as your request takes, and pass it to no one; the mailbox is operated for us by Apple (iCloud Mail). You may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction (Art. 15–18 GDPR), object (Art. 21 GDPR), and lodge a complaint with the Austrian Datenschutzbehörde (dsb.gv.at).
