Frequently asked
- Where is my data? Only on your iPhone. PromptFox has no server, no account, and makes no network connections. See the privacy policy.
- How do I enable the PromptFox keyboard? Settings › General › Keyboard › Keyboards › Add New Keyboard › PromptFox. Then hold the globe key in any text field and pick PromptFox.
- Deck or list? In PromptFox, Settings › PromptFox keyboard › Keyboard style switches between the Prompt Deck (icon keys), a text list, and a list with pictures. On the keyboard’s Deck: tap pastes, hold peeks.
- Why does the keyboard offer “Allow Full Access”? Reading your prompts never needs it. It is only required if you want the keyboard’s “Add” button to hand selected text back to the app. Even with Full Access on, nothing is ever transmitted anywhere — the app has no network code at all.
- How do I back up my vault? Settings › Backup & Transfer › Prepare export, then share the single PromptFox-Export.json file — you own it. It holds your prompts and their versions, collections, variables, decks and settings. Pictures you attached (prompt previews, Deck-key images, collection backgrounds) stay on the device and are not part of the file. Bring it onto any device running PromptFox with Import from JSON.
- Prompt Doctor and the other intelligence features are missing. They run on Apple Intelligence and appear only on devices and iOS versions that provide it. Settings › Intelligence shows what this device supports. Everything else works everywhere.
